The short version. Personalised items can't be returned for a change of mind, but anything faulty, misprinted or not as described is always put right (clauses 18 to 20). You promise you have the right to print your design (clause 4). We check every design, and a person makes any decision to decline (clause 7).
Part A For everyone
1 About us
We are [Legal company name], trading as Veca, a company registered in England and Wales under number [company number]. Registered office: [registered office]. Trading address: [trading address]. Email: [email]. Phone: [phone].
"You" means the person or organisation ordering. You are a consumer if you are an individual buying wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession; otherwise you are a business customer. Part A applies to everyone. Part B applies to consumers with a UK delivery address, and Part D to all business customers. We currently deliver to the United Kingdom only, so clauses 24 to 27 (US customers) and clauses 32 to 40 (EU/EEA customers) are not used. You must be 18 or over to order.
2 How an order works
2.1 You send us your design and choices (garment, colour, sizes, quantities, print position). We then send you an order summary showing these, a mock-up of every printed side, the total price including delivery (and VAT for UK consumers), how and when to pay, and the expected dispatch and delivery dates.
2.2 Before we accept an order we check the design (clause 7) and may ask you questions or suggest changes.
2.3 Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you our written order confirmation. If you pay before then, we hold the money for you: payment alone does not mean we have accepted. If we do not accept, we refund everything you paid within 7 working days (card payments: by your next billing cycle), to the method you used.
2.4 Proofs. Please check the mock-up carefully, including spelling, sizes, colours and position. We will point out any problem we notice, but we print the words and artwork you approve. If what we print does not match the approved mock-up (allowing for clause 10), that is our responsibility.
2.5 You can correct anything in the order summary before you accept it. Tell us straight away if you spot a mistake afterwards; if printing has not started we will try to fix it at no charge.
3 Price and payment
3.1 The price in the order summary is the total you pay. For UK consumers it includes VAT and delivery. Business prices are shown excluding VAT where stated, with VAT added at the current rate.
3.2 For US deliveries, prices are in US dollars and include all US import duties and customs charges, so you will not be asked to pay anything more on delivery. We add US sales tax where the law requires it.
3.3 You pay by [payment method] when you accept the order summary, or within [number] days of invoice for approved business accounts.
3.4 If we find an obvious pricing error before we accept your order, we will tell you, and you can go ahead at the right price or cancel.
4 Your promises about your design
When you upload, type or create a design (including with our AI tools), you promise that:
- (a)you created it, or you have written permission from everyone who owns rights in it to have it printed on clothing and sold or given away;
- (b)it does not copy anyone else's artwork, photo, character, logo, brand name, team or band name or badge, or trade mark, without their permission — and this includes parodies, "inspired by" versions and hand-drawn or AI-made copies, which can still infringe;
- (c)it does not use any real person's name, face, voice, signature or a lookalike of them (including an AI-made likeness) to suggest they support or endorse it, and — for US deliveries — does not use them at all on merchandise unless that person, or their estate if they have died, has agreed in writing;
- (d)if it includes a photo of another person, you have their agreement to print it, or a parent's or guardian's agreement if they are under 18;
- (e)it is not unlawful, defamatory, threatening, obscene or hateful.
Your promises in this clause are made to us and are also relied on by our print partners and the print providers they use, because they physically print your design. If you are unsure, ask us before you order. We can tell you what our check found, but we cannot give legal advice.
5 Permission to use your design
You keep any rights you have in your design. You give us, our print partner and our service providers a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to copy, resize, adapt (for example colour separation or fitting the print area), store and process it only as needed to check, print and deliver your order, keep the records in clause 16, and deal with any complaint or claim. We require our print partners to use your design only for these purposes. We will not sell your design, use it in our advertising or show it publicly unless you separately agree.
6 Fonts, graphics and templates we supply
Fonts, graphics, templates and other material we supply are licensed to us for printing your order. Your promises in clause 4 do not cover them — that responsibility is ours. You may not copy them for other uses.
7 Our design check
7.1 We check every design using a list of well-known names and an automatic image check that looks for things such as well-known brands, logos, characters, teams, bands, famous artworks and photographs of real people. The automatic check does not identify who a person is. Designs it flags are looked at by a member of our team. We do not refuse an order on the automatic check alone: a person makes that decision.
7.2 If we decline a design or ask for changes, we will tell you why as fully as we can. You can reply with more information (for example proof of permission) and ask us to look again.
7.3 The check helps catch obvious problems. It is not legal advice and cannot guarantee a design is safe to print. Passing it does not mean a design is cleared, and it does not change your promises in clause 4.
7.4 To run the check and our AI tools, your design and prompts are sent to technology providers, some of them in the USA. Our Privacy Notice explains this and the safeguards we use.
8 Designs made with our AI tools
8.1 AI images are produced automatically and may, by chance, look like existing artwork, characters, logos or real people. Please check the result before you order, and do not ask the AI to copy a named artist's style or work, a brand, a character or a real person. Clause 4 applies to AI designs too.
8.2 In the UK, computer-generated images with no human author may be protected by copyright, with the "author" being the person who made the arrangements for creating them (section 9(3) of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988); how this applies to today's AI tools is uncertain, and in March 2026 the Government proposed removing that rule. In the USA, under current law and US Copyright Office guidance, an image generated by AI from a text prompt alone is generally not protected by copyright, because copyright needs a human author. In both countries, parts of a design you create yourself, and your own creative selection, arrangement or changes, can be protected in the usual way. So we cannot promise that you, or anyone, owns copyright in an AI-generated image.
8.3 As between you and us, we claim no rights in AI images made for your order and we transfer to you any rights we may have in them [CHECK: each AI provider's output terms allow this]. You may use the items you buy for any lawful purpose.
9 When we may cancel after accepting your order
9.1 After we have accepted your order we will cancel it only if:
- (a)we receive a complaint, or information we could not reasonably have known when we checked the design, that shows the design is likely to infringe someone's rights or break the law;
- (b)the print partner we chose refuses to print it, or cancels it, under its own content or legal rules, and we cannot have it printed by another of our print partners at the same price and quality by the delivery date we gave you; or
- (c)something outside our control makes it impossible to complete (clause 14).
9.2 If this happens we will tell you promptly and explain why as fully as we can. Where possible we will offer you the chance to change the design, which we will check again. If you prefer, or a change is not possible, we will refund everything you paid, including delivery, within 7 working days of telling you (card payments: by your next billing cycle), to the payment method you used. You pay nothing for design work or the check.
9.3 If any of the events in clause 9.1 happens, you may also cancel the order for a full refund.
10 Colours, sizes and placement
Colours on screen and on paper proofs can look slightly different on fabric, and print can vary slightly between garment colours and fabrics. Print position can vary by up to [X] mm, and garment measurements by up to [X] cm, from our size guide. Low-resolution images can print blurry; we will warn you if we spot this. These are normal features of printed clothing, not faults. An item that differs from your approved mock-up by more than this is not as described, and you have the rights in Part B, Part C or Part D.
11 Delivery
11.1 The expected dispatch and delivery dates are in your order summary and confirmation. We aim to dispatch within [X] working days of accepting your order. Unless we agree another date, we deliver within 30 days of accepting your order.
11.2 If we cannot dispatch by the date we gave, we will tell you before that date, give you a new date and the choice to wait or cancel for a full refund. If the new delay is more than 30 days, or we cannot give a date, we will cancel and refund you unless you tell us you are happy to wait.
11.3 We do not print items ourselves. Each order is printed and sent by one of the independent print partners listed in our Print Partner Schedule (Schedule 1), which gives each partner's company and the countries it prints in. We choose a partner for each order based on the product, where you live, quality, time and cost; some partners use their own network of print providers. If we have to move your order to a different partner, we will not charge you more and we will tell you if the delivery date changes. Whoever prints it, your contract is with us, we remain responsible to you for your order, and you deal only with us.
11.4 Consumer items are your responsibility once delivered to you or to someone you name. Business items are your responsibility once handed to the carrier, unless we agree otherwise. Ownership passes when we have been paid in full.
12 Think something infringes your rights?
Email [rights email] with your name and contact details; the right you own (for example a registration number or evidence that you created the work); the design, link or order reference; and a statement that your information is accurate. We will acknowledge you within 2 working days, pause printing of the design while we review it, and tell you the outcome. If we uphold the complaint we will remove the design, take reasonable steps to stop close copies being printed, and refuse further orders from repeat infringers. Any accepted order affected is dealt with under clause 9. We may share your name and complaint with the customer concerned unless you ask us not to and we can still deal with it.
13 Complaints
Contact us at [email] or [phone]. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to reply in full within 14 days. We do not currently use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme, and we will say so in our reply to every complaint. Consumers in the UK can get free advice from Citizens Advice (England and Wales), Advice Direct Scotland or Consumerline (Northern Ireland).
14 Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, a carrier's failure, a public emergency or the failure of a public utility. This does not include problems within our control, such as our own staff, equipment or choice of suppliers. We will tell you promptly. If the delay is likely to be long, either of us may cancel and you will get a full refund for anything not delivered.
15 Reviews
You are free to post honest reviews of us and our products anywhere. Nothing in these terms limits that.
16 Your information and our records
For each order we keep a record of the terms version you accepted, the confirmations you gave and how you gave them, dates and times, the design files and AI prompts used, and the result of the design check. We keep the order and check record for 6 years after the order so we can deal with complaints, claims and tax records. We keep design images that show people for [shorter period] only, then delete them. You can complain to us about our use of your personal information at [privacy contact or form]; in the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Our Privacy Notice explains how we use your information, the providers we share it with (including outside the UK), and your rights. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
To print and deliver your order we share your name, delivery address, the contact details the carrier needs and your design with the print partner and print provider handling it (Schedule 1) and with the carrier. Partners may print outside the UK. Most partners act only on our instructions under a written data processing agreement; any that use your delivery information under their own privacy notice are marked in Schedule 1. When information leaves the UK, we use the safeguards the law requires, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
17 Changes and other things
We may update these terms for future orders; the version you accepted applies to your order. If a court decides part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, the order summary and the order confirmation are the whole agreement about your order.
18 Our Misprint Promise
This promise is given by [Legal company name], [trading address], [email]. It is extra to your legal rights and does not affect them; in particular your legal rights for faulty or misprinted goods (Part B in the UK) still apply in full. We promise that each item will match the design and options you approved (allowing for clause 10) and be free from printing and material defects when delivered. To claim, email [email] within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem (and of the packaging, for damage in transit, if you still have it). We will reprint the item free of charge or, if a reprint is not possible or you prefer, refund it in full including delivery; we may ask you to return the item at our cost. The promise does not cover normal wear, damage from not following the care label, or problems in a design you approved. Please check your items when they arrive: reporting damage early helps us claim from the carrier, but your legal rights do not depend on it.
Part B Consumers with a UK delivery address
19 Your right to cancel
19.1 Personalised items. Items printed to your design are made to your specifications, so the 14-day right to cancel orders made at a distance (online, by phone or by email) or away from our premises does not apply (regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013). The order summary shows which items in your order are personalised.
19.2 Any item that is not personalised (for example a blank garment, or a design from our range printed unchanged) can be cancelled within 14 days of receiving it if you ordered at a distance or away from our premises. Tell us at [email] (you can use the model cancellation form we send with your confirmation), return the item within 14 days, and we refund you within 14 days of getting it back. You pay the return postage.
20 If something is wrong
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms. In summary: within 30 days of delivery, if an item is faulty, misprinted or not as described (including not matching your approved mock-up beyond clause 10), you can reject it for a full refund; after 30 days, or if you prefer, you can ask for a repair or reprint; and if that is not possible or does not fix it, you can have a price reduction or reject the item for a refund (after 6 months a deduction for use may apply). If we deliver late, you may in some cases end the contract and get a full refund. Our Misprint Promise (clause 18) is extra to these rights. We pay the reasonable cost of returning faulty items. Contact us at [email] with photos.
21 Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses: we supply items for private use. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breaking your legal rights about the goods, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
22 If you knowingly break your promises in clause 4
If you knowingly break your promises in clause 4 and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you may be legally responsible for the reasonable costs that directly result, such as reasonable legal costs and any damages we have to pay. Before asking you to pay, we will tell you about the claim promptly, give you the chance to comment before we settle, and take reasonable steps to keep costs down. You are not responsible for any part of a claim caused by fonts, graphics or templates we supplied, changes we made, or our own mistakes.
23 Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep any protection the law there gives you.
Part D Business customers
28 Quality and remedies
Please inspect deliveries within 5 working days and tell us in writing about any defect or shortfall; otherwise the goods are treated as accepted. For bulk orders, quantities may vary by up to [±X]% and you pay for the quantity delivered. If items are defective or do not match the approved proof (allowing for clause 10), we will at our option reprint, credit or refund them.
29 Your responsibility for supplied artwork
29.1 You will defend, compensate and hold harmless [Legal company name], our print partners, the print providers they use, and their staff against all claims, losses, damages, settlements, penalties and reasonable legal costs arising from any claim that artwork, text, names, likenesses, images or instructions you supplied, or that were generated at your direction using our tools, infringe any copyright, trade mark, image, publicity, privacy or other right, or break any law.
29.2 Clause 29.1 does not apply to the extent a claim arises from fonts, graphics or templates we supplied, changes we made without your instructions, or our breach of contract or negligence.
29.3 We will tell you promptly about any claim, will not admit or settle it without consulting you, will take reasonable steps to limit losses, and will give you reasonable help at your cost. If you ask, and give security for costs we reasonably approve, you may take over the defence with counsel we reasonably approve; you will not settle in a way that admits fault for us or binds us without our written consent.
30 Limits on our liability
30.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the terms about title and quiet possession implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
30.2 Subject to clause 30.1, EXCEPT FOR THE PROMISES IN THESE TERMS, WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, to the extent the law allows; WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOSS OF PROFIT, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, OR FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS; AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM ANY ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE PRICE OF THAT ORDER AND £[X].
31 Payment, law and general
31.1 Invoices are payable within [X] days. For UK business customers we may charge interest on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
31.2 These business terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales, which have exclusive jurisdiction.
31.3 These terms, the order summary and the order confirmation are the whole agreement between us about the order and replace any earlier discussions; your own terms do not apply. Our print partners and their print providers may rely on clause 29 under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999; otherwise no one else may enforce these terms, and we may change or end them without anyone else's consent. The person ordering confirms they are authorised to agree these terms for the business. If you resell items, you are responsible for any product labelling, safety and tax rules that apply to your sales.
